What is a differential ring and pinion kit?

 The ring and pinion are crucial components of a vehicle's differential, which is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels while allowing them to rotate at different speeds (e.g., during turns). An axle ring and pinion kit typically include a new ring gear, pinion gear, bearings, seals, and sometimes shims or other small parts required for the installation or replacement of these components. Components of axle ring and pinion

• Ring gear: The ring gear is a large, circular gear that is mounted on the inside of the differential case. It meshes with the pinion gear and is responsible for transferring torque from the driveshaft to the axle shafts, which ultimately drive the wheels. The teeth on the ring gear's outer circumference engage with the teeth of the pinion gear.
• Pinion gear: The pinion gear is a smaller gear that is connected to the vehicle's driveshaft. It is positioned at a slight angle and meshes with the ring gear.
