After developing months of little pings when shifting into reverse, I developed an intermittent chatter under the back seat. Probably the center support bearing, but with almost 275k on the original shaft, I figured I'd just replace it.
Shipping took a day longer than estimated, which jammed up my weekend a bit but the shaft arrived well packaged with a new guibo installed (3 new nuts and bolts, if they threw in 3 more, it'd be even better) and a new CSB. Install was a pretty painless affair aside from dropping the 50lb muffler.
Even with the shipping delay, this is a 5 star purchase. A new driveshaft with serviceable u joints (wish I had numbers for replacement parts but I might never need them), new guibo with nuts and bolts and new CSB for under $300 shipped beats any other deal I've found.
I had no idea how much vibration my old shaft was causing. I chalked it up to my solid motor and subframe mounts. With the new shaft, it's dead still, smooth through the whole power band and silent from a stop. This might be one of the best purchases I've made for this car.
