2017 Audi A6 Quattro Timing Chain Kit

Timing chain kit quick guide

A Timing chain kit is a complete set of parts used to replace a worn or damaged timing chain. A typical timing chain kit may include the timing chain(s), tensioners, guides, sprockets, and other necessary components for a complete replacement. The kit may also include gaskets or seals that need to be replaced during the installation process.

The timing chain is an important part of an internal combustion engine's timing system, as it helps to ensure that the engine's valves and pistons move in the correct sequence. The timing chain connects the engine's crankshaft to the camshaft(s), which control the opening and closing of the engine's valves. Over time, a timing chain can become worn, stretched, or damaged, which can cause problems with engine performance or even engine failure. When this happens, a mechanic may recommend replacing the timing chain and related components as a kit.

How much does it cost to get a timing chain kit?

The price of an aftermarket timing chain kit can range from $50 to $500, and the exact cost will vary based on the particular brand you choose and the actual inclusions of the timing kit set. A-Premium provides a timing chain kit that costs between $33.99 to $675.99 to satisfy the needs of different customers in various scenarios. You can always get what you are looking for here in A-Premium.

What are the signs of a worn-out timing chain kit?

Some common signs of a worn-out timing chain kit include engine misfires, rough idling, reduced power and acceleration, engine noise (such as rattling or knocking), and the check engine light is illuminated. Regular maintenance and inspections can help prevent problems with your timing chain kit. For example, keep your engine oil clean and topped off, replace your timing chain kit at the recommended intervals, and address any signs of wear or damage as soon as they arise.
