What is a wear sensor on brake pads?

How does the brake pad wear sensor work?

The warning light is usually a red circle with an exclamation point in the center, and it may also say "Brake" or "Brake Pad Wear" on it. Do all cars have a brake wear sensor？

No, not every car is equipped with a brake wear indicator on it. Generally speaking, the presence of a brake pad wear sensor can depend on the make and model of the car, as well as the year it was manufactured. Brake pad wear sensor replacement

Then remove the old sensor by employing some tools. And you are ready to install the new brake wear indicator. Don’t forget to reconnect the electrical connector to test the new wear sensor and ensure that the warning light on the dashboard goes out. If you are not comfortable performing the replacement yourself, it is recommended to have a qualified mechanic do the job.
