A fuel injector is a precision valve in the fuel injection system that meters and sprays fuel into the air stream or directly into the combustion chamber. In most automotive engines, the injector delivers a fine mist through a nozzle so fuel mixes evenly with air, creating a stable air fuel mixture for a clean combustion process.
