A car alternator supports the electrical system and replenishes the battery while the engine runs. For an alternator replacement, start with the exact year, make, model, engine, and any production or equipment notes. Then compare voltage, rated amperage, pulley groove count, rotation direction, electrical connector, and mounting pattern on the product page. A 12V alternator with the wrong output or physical configuration is not an interchangeable choice simply because it looks similar.

Which Alternator Specifications Need to Match?
