Blend Door Actuators Control Air Temperature

A blend door actuator moves an HVAC air door that regulates how air passes through the heating section of the system. Changing the door position changes the mixture of warmer and cooler air reaching the cabin. The actuator moves the door; it does not create heat or supply refrigerant.

Not every HVAC air door actuator has that temperature role. A mode actuator selects outlets such as the floor or windshield, while an inlet actuator controls fresh or recirculated air. Door Shafts and Actuator Mounting
