2020 Ram 1500 CV Intermediate Shaft

An intermediate shaft is a connecting or supported section, whereas a complete CV axle replaces the full half-shaft assembly. Identify which section is damaged and check the parts supplied with the replacement.

A different gearbox or drive layout can change the required shaft, splines and mounting. An intermediate shaft must match the installed combination, not just the vehicle model.

ABS-ring inclusion varies. Some A-Premium intermediate shafts list a ring, while the Cardone shaft is described without an ABS tone ring. The required signal arrangement and the supplied parts must both match the vehicle.

Some A-Premium shaft packages include a spindle nut; the Cardone shaft lists its axle nut as not included. Obtain the fasteners required by the actual repair procedure and package, rather than assuming the shaft always comes with them.

Powertrain differences can change the application. One A-Premium gasoline application explicitly excludes the hybrid version, so a shared model name does not establish interchangeability. Use the powertrain condition attached to the exact replacement.
