Audi Fuel Pump Assembly

Audi Fuel Pump Assembly: Float, Seal, and Sender Details

Audi in-tank assemblies can look alike while arriving with different supporting parts. Some Audi packages omit the float or sealing ring, and one application calls for the existing tank seal to be reused. Read the included-parts information before disassembly, and compare the sender, float, flange, and seal requirements with the original unit.

How to Match Fuel Pump Outlet Ports for Audi

Outlet count and tube direction are practical Audi selection points. Before ordering, note how many fuel connections leave the original flange and where each one points. The replacement should reproduce that layout without bending a tube or rerouting a line, and its mounting orientation should place the connections in the same usable positions.

Shared Audi and Volkswagen Fuel Pump Fitment

Some Audi and Volkswagen applications may share a pump design, but a shared appearance or platform relationship is not enough to confirm fitment. Use the exact vehicle information and the stated application, then compare the sender equipment, outlet layout, flange, and included seal. A part that names the other brand but not the selected vehicle should not be treated as a substitute.

Prevent Leaks at the Pump Flange

A new seal is not guaranteed with every Audi fuel pump assembly. If the selected part omits the sealing ring or specifies reuse, inspect the existing seal for flattening, cuts, swelling, or loss of shape and follow the applicable service procedure. Seat the seal evenly, secure the retaining ring, and check the flange and fuel connections for seepage after startup.
