The inside diameter at each end and the working or overall length are the key physical measurements. Both openings must suit the rack housing and tie-rod side while allowing the bellows to move through the steering range. A steering rack boot covers the rack and inner tie-rod area. It is not a CV boot around a drive-axle joint, a ball-joint dust boot, or a complete rack-and-pinion assembly. These parts can share a flexible bellows appearance but protect different components. Identify the location and system first so a driveline or suspension boot is not mistaken for a steering bellows kit.
