The most common vehicle uses of master cylinders are in brake and clutch systems, which utilize this pressure to operate effectively.

Never install a dry master cylinder onto a car. Secure the new cylinder body in a bench vise. Attach short temporary plastic lines leading from the outlet ports back into the fluid reservoir.
